The individual nurses, staff and caregivers have all been so nice and caring. They have understood as I highlighted a problem and supported as best as they can.
The issue has been communication between different units and staff and differences in messages being related to me. Anything that did get communicated to me was only as a result of me asking the same questions over and over instead of it being shared openly as available
My biggest problem has been that I have been here due to pain. The pain was relived as soon as I got here so lessons had been learned for what it would take. April the pain consultant I absolutely highly recommend - her patience and time spent with me was outstanding and made me very confident to deal with the pain going forward. However …. The agreed pain plan outlined was not being used during my stay and the directions of it were not clear. The only way I could get pain relief from being here was to experience pain and ask for extra relief, rather than using the experience to prevent the pain from happening again so badly.
I was here for pain relief, and a plan got together, it should not take for me to be discharged for the pain plan to have to be in use.
Communication between consultants, doctors and nurses has been inconsistent. I do not want to delay on this given everyone individually has been so nice as caring people. There should just be an appropriate timeline in place and as information becomes available it should be shared with a patient without patient needing to ask about it repeatedly.
Additional towels should be available within the bathrooms.

1. Dr. Ian Webb - fanatastic experience and felt super secure in his hands
2. Jessica Bivand - on the phone - super structured and precise.
3. Jezel (Day unit nurse) - compassionate, great listener, expert at her role, one of the best nurse experiences I've had.
4. Recovery nurse ( forget her name ) - compassionate, great listener, expert at her role, one of the best nurse experiences I've had.
Overall everyone involved (the angiogram team, the support nurses) were on extremely professional and caring. Very thankful to the day care unit, recovery nurses and the angiogram team.
