I had been extremely nervous about having an endoscopy, but from the minute I entered the hospital, staff were friendly polite and warm. In endoscopy unit, they were all very reassuring when I was upset and very anxious right up until having the sedation. My fantastic consultant Dr Murino and the anaesthetist spent a long time talking to me to allay my fears and I have to say, the experience turned out to be very positive. I may have to have another one and next time I won't have the same fears. I will also be requesting the same wonderful anaesthetist Dr Sam De Silva.
