From entering the building I was comforted and reassured. The lovely lady that booked me in even came up to my room a few days after my operation to say hello as she had promised! Something I thought was just words. Dr Ulbricht has been so approachable and ‘normal’ not like other medical consultants I or my family have dealt with in the past. Anders was amazing and spoke to us in such a way that put myself and my family at ease. The food service and cleaning…. Just fantastic, everyone had time to actually say hello with a smile on their face. The nurses… what can I say…. Just wow! Friendly, comforting, helpful, spoke to me like I was a human being not just a body they had to work on! The physio team… brilliant! Yet again they had time to get to you know you a DC remee e me red my name a few days after Jo the corridor when I passed them! The anesthetist listened and reassured. I walked to theatre and was amazed at how relaxed every member of staff was in there, I cannot tell you what they meant to me! A huge clinical room, lots of staff, lots of machines, but everyone was organised, relaxed and outstanding! I have always been a very anxious person when it comes to hospitals, this time was harder, fearing results, and leaving our son for the first time ever in his 5 years, but I have to say if I had to return for another procedure I would not be anxious….. I cannot rate everyone on the whole team enough. What a credit you all are to the hospital! Dr Ulbricht told us at our consultation that he was proud of his team….. and I can see why! Dr Ulbricht himself, what an amazing relaxed knowledgable man! I have every confidence that if I can ‘be fixed’ he will put every effort in and more. Keep doing what you are all doing…… my gratitude will always be there to each and everyone of you.

Dr Ulbricht has been approachable, friendly, reassuring, informative, showed confidence, knowledgeable, spoke to me in a very understandable way ( he didn’t blind us with medical terminology) he showed dedication and passion for what he does. One thing I will definitely say is that he recognises what a great team he has….. something many bosses cannot do! I found this a very humble trait! He could also gage my emotion, from anxious moments to also having a little laugh when he could see I was ready.

Too many names to mention! What I can say…. Is unfortunately there is usually that one member of staff, or more that stand out for being lazy, unapproachable, forgetful, unenthusiastic…….. I can honestly say….. not one member of staff during my 5 day visit was like that!!!!!
