The standard of care one the day of my arrival and procedure was outstanding. The medical service, nursing, administration were all exceptional and faultless. The day of my departure, there was little communication, I had a long wait to get the medicine prescribed the previous day, so it was a little frustrating. The check out process could have been handled better. It felt like the nursing team were busy dealing with that days arrivals and the patients to be discharged were less important. A tale of two days, which were completely different.

Suggested improvements
Improve your pharmacy. If you are holding the regular medicines that a patient brings in with them, return them before they are due to be taken, not hours later. If you have asked a patient to bring their own regular medicines, don't hold onto them and then try to supply your own, especially if you don't have all of them. Be consistent. A month ago, I was told to take my own regular medicines that I bought to the hospital. That worked well. This time, I was asked to bring my own and you took them away from me. Why the difference? Next time I will simply refuse to hand mine over. When a doctor says what new medicines are to be supplied, don't wait nearly 24 hours before getting them ready. On my previous visit, I was not given the pre-procedure drugs I was meant to take. It was me that noticed this and told the consultant just before the procedure started. Overall, it would appear the way your pharmacy works needs a total review. It is shockingly poor.

Narbeh Melikian seems to be very good at his job. I have total faith in the medical care he gave to me.

Yes, this week, on the day of my procedure, I was looked after by a nurse called Carmen. Sorry, I don't know her last name. Carmen is an exceptional nurse. She was welcoming, thoughtful, caring, knowledgeable, kind, professional, calm under pressure, and all-round one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is an absolute credit to the team at the Cleveland Clinic and I would welcome her being my nurse anywhere, anytime. Great job Carmen!
