Due to several serious misgivings and not having my calls emails and texts replied to in the critical few days after my surgery, my wound became infected and my recovery time has doubled. There is also a real risk that I will Not recover as I would have if the after care had been provided as it should have been. Having had my 2 week check up, my surgeon Tom quick is on complete agreement that the service has been shambolic and totally avoidable and that this may cause complications and impede recovery. The letter I have received acknowledges this and admits that the after care service was non existent and incredibly poor resulting in expense, pain, and anxiety around recovery.

Suggested improvements
Picked the phone up at the after care tesm when I called three times. Contacted me back after I left a voice mail on the complaint phone number (had a reply 1 week later) Responded to a direct text message sent asking for help and assistance as I was not getting through on the care team phone number (text sent to surgeon).


My operation was delayed by 2.5 hours as my MRI scan could Not be found. I was walked out of the hospital after an operation on my ankle And not given crutches so I wasn’t fully load bearing on that ankle. My surgeon did not return a critical text message. It’s receipt has been acknowledged.


No. I am pursuing this with Cleveland clinic and taking legal advice. Serious failings may lead to inadequate recovery.
