Told to come In for 6.30am, I had to confirm twice as I was staying in over night and was told I was last on the list. Arrived at 10am having fasted and was told my operation was at 4.30pm. I feel the admin staff could have called me to let me know. I had to fight for a room from 10am and was extremely unhappy. I ended up fasting for more than 24 hrs for my surgery. Spent the whole day waiting from 10am to 4.30pm. On my discharge I had to wait 25 mins for a porter to take me down. My nurse tried but organisation was so poor. Was going to end up walking myself out.

Suggested improvements
Admin, communication and infrastructure seems only workable if the fancy IT system is working. Seemed no one was thinking outside the box to make a situation better unless the system allowed you to do. I asked to speak with a manager when I was checked in, but no one came to Speak with me in my entire stay. Admin is better at other private hospitals.

Professor Quick was excellent and extremely professional. Felt safe in his hands and he was honest and confident with my condition. Mr Amit Pava was also excellent and extremely caring and professional. All theatre staff were brilliant.

All the nurses and HCA’s were excellent. Sofia, Harriet, lisia, giannia to name a few. Felt cared for.
