I don't think that in the field of recuperation from a serious illness (stroke) that there is anywhere I could have been treated better than I was in the Cleveland. I believe the London Cleveland is based on its founding hospital in America and I think its success is such that it will become a model for new hospitals in this country, if the necessary funds are available. My impression of the Cleveland Clinic is that the staff did everything they possibly could to promote my recovery. The success and speed of my recovery is due to the competence, diligence and care of the staff, from Professor Tio at the head right through to the staff who looked after me at every stage of my 5 week journey. The therapists in particular were brilliant, knowing how to instruct and encourage. and when to hold back. "Very good" is not enough to describe my experience, which was impressive beyond all expectations.

Suggested improvements
I honestly can't think of anything.

I have every confidence in Professor Tio and value his professional opinion.

Apart from the passion for cleanliness and orderliness, I think it was the enthusiasm, knowledge and friendliness of the staff, especially the male nurses for whom nothing was too much trouble when I first arrived in the hospital unable to do anything for myself and the physiotherapists who finally succeeded in getting me back on my feet and proving to me that I can become self reliant.
