I have completed this questionnaire but many I can't answer because I am at the start of my patient journey. I have had two consultancies with Mr Quick in the orthopaedic team. One was face to face in March at the London office and the second in May was a conference call. I now await a follow up since I can look forward to an operation on my arm to free a trapped nerve and blood vessel. My critic at the moment is that I cannot predict how much the surgery will be for a two hour operation, under general anaesthetic after recovery able to return home. So a day patient. Surely there should be some transparency about how much the operation should be. I asked Mr Quick who just said that was something to be agreed with your back office.

Suggested improvements
I am a UK national health patient with an electronic record available to be viewed and seamlessly transfer to Cleveland Clinic and back to NHS records. My attempt to provide these records were very difficult and being sent by email raises a question about the insecurity of such data transfers in an age of anxiety upon cybersecurity. I would be delighted to explore alternative ways of integrating data since I suspect there may be many other NHS patients wishing to pay for surgery or treatment in this post covid pressure on waiting for the NHS paying for the treatment at point of need. Would welcome the opportunity to seek a digital wallet solution using blockchain technologies.

Mr Quick has a reputation with my own NHS consultant as being an excellent surgeon.

Quite impressed with the obvious knowledge and experience that Mr Quick has.
