Dr Shakir is wonderful, as is his PA, Priya. World class quality. And although I spoke to billings and was shocked by their lack of professionalism and ethics when realising I was upset Connor did show empathy. I am forever indebted to Priya and Dr Shakir but I don’t think great things around the organisation or Cleveland in comparison to Spire etc. Kirsty the nurse who has rung me since my discharge has been sympathetic. The anaesthetist John was great, he has wonderful energy and cared enough to see me after which was appreciated. But ultimately the professionalism, care and skill of the operating team on the day with specific mention to Dr Shakir make it all worth it. In any appointment with Dr Shakir I always felt clearly communicated with, everything was explained and was in treated with respect and dignity at all times.

The lack of joined up communication re billings and admissions is not of the same quality. I was totally reliant on Priya. I am forever in debated to Dr Shakir and Priya but found your billings (sometimes wrong), staff lack of knowledge what I have been tested for and what not, what my procedure was and what it wasn’t not great. The amount of information pre the procedure was extremely limited. The day before my surgery I was sent a general one page piece of paper with a chart which wasn’t for my operation. I was totally reliant on Priya, Dr Shakir’s PA.

As above. He is simply world class, an expert in his field and passionate about patient care. Thank you Dr Shakir.

Dr Shakir is exceptional. His integrity, expertise and understanding, especially as a self paying patient. I am so grateful. Priya, Dr Shakir, is also wonderful and showed great patience and care.
