Inpatient care was excellent. Scheduling and pre-admission were uninformed and chaotic. Acute admissions did not answer their dedicated telephone number on Saturday.

Suggested improvements
Scheduling should have access to all relevant information. Same for pre-admissions. In both cases, the persons were unaware that the patient had a previous appointment for admission which was postponed due to illness not related to the procedure. Thus both persons tried to insist the patient repeat all the tests and screens. This was refused by the patient. The admissions person admitted that he knew nothing about this, that he was just the messenger, told to call the patient and start from the beginning.
