I was so impressed. At every stage from arrival I was passed onto the next appointment with so much care and politeness. On arriving in my room I was impressed. Not only was the room exceptionally well appointed the staff were efficient, caring and polite. When I was taken to the theatre for the procedure on my heart once again it went efficiently. I liked the way a single person remained with me throughout and finally returned me to my room. The staff in the operating theatre were extremely efficient and friendly and at no time did I feel concerned. Doctor Byrne kept me informed throughout and spent time explaining what had been done before I left the theatre and was taken to the recovery room. Here the nurses were caring and efficient. I was then taken back to my room. I was hungry and within minutes a member of the catering staff arrived. A brilliant menu choice but all I wanted was a omelette and a cup of tea. 15 minutes later it was brought to me on a wicker tray with a wicker cover. What style. When I was discharged the entire operation was done efficiently. My drugs were returned to me and a letter of discharge was provided. I could not have been more impressed throughout.

Suggested improvements
I am 85 and I found the information on MyChart impossible to access on my mobile 'phone. I received several messages about information on MyChart and as I could not access them this caused me some stress as I had no idea if they may have been important. Once home I was able to get access on my desktop computer but I do think you could improve the way you pass on information for those of us who are not technically competent.


I found the whole experience at The Cleveland Clinic to be so much better than any previous hospital visit. Whenever I have had to go to hospital the experience has been average and adequate. The Cleveland Clinic has raised the benchmark of excellence.


Liz Dean co-ordinated and arranged everything for me from the moment I arrived at The Cleveland Clinic. This made a massive difference. Jessica was extremely helpful as she went to a great deal of trouble explaining to me the procedure on my heart. Nurse Jennyvieve Calixihan was the best nurse I have ever come across in any hospital. What an efficient and caring young lady. Georgio (Not sure how to spell his name) was the person who took me to the theatre, remained throughout and returned me to my room. He was especially nice and completely removed any sense of concern that I had. Finally I cannot end without mentioning Dr Jonathan Byrne. I liked him and had confidence in him from the moment we first met. If ever I need anything done to my heart in the future he is the man for me!
