Share review of Cleveland Clinic London Hospital
From diagnosis of my condition (which was over the Christmas period) to operating, and then based on the findings of the first procedure that was completed and the decision to operate again, the surgical team at the Cleveland Clinic could not have been more diligent, thorough in their discussions between colleagues, expedient in getting approval from the relevant MDT meetings and explaining in detail to my husband and myself, the options, risks, benefits, recovery issues and times etc.
The nursing staff were also clearly informed of my progress and the care I therefore required by the two main surgeons - Mr Rehan Haidry for the fist procedure and Mr Boz Mohammadi for the second procedure. I cannot thank Mr Haidry and Mr Mohammadi for their outstanding professionalism, care and kindness at was a very difficult time for myself and my family.
Please see comments above.
in addition, I very much appreciated the "team" approach that was taken by the surgeons at the Clevland Clinic in making decisions about moving on to have the second procedure.
The excellent care both surgically and also in terms of practical explanations of what I could expect with regard to recovery / pain management etc AND the time and "no rush" attitude that I received from Mr. Haidry (procedure one), Mr. Mohammadi, Prof. Mughal and Mr Monk (procedure two) definitely made for an exceptional and I am sure unrivalled experience.
Mr Haidry and Mr Mohammadi were also extremely kind and conscientious with regards to not only speaking with my husband about my situation and what to expect but also made it clear that they were more than happy to answer any questions that our young daughters aged 10 and 9 might have about mummy. I was so appreciative of this additional and unexpected support.
