I came for a pre meeting with the physiotherapist prior to my operation Monday and to have my PCR test and urine test.. The physio and the nurse was excellent. There were 2 reasons for the good score rather than very good and related to 2 things.: There was inadequate equipment for the urine test but this is a small criticism. The main reason is the experience at reception on the first floor. The staff are ill informed regarding personnel working in the hospital. They need a directory to be able to look up the staff working with the inpatients. It took a long time to contact the staff I was meeting on the 4th floor. they are much more comfortable dealing with outpatient procedures. I am sure this will change with time

Just a little attention given to sorting out the reception on the first floor.

The quality of the medical staff. I have now visited the hospital 3 times for pre operative assessment and all the medical staff are outstanding and very client focused. The whole experience prior to having a major operation has been extremely well managed and has made me feel so much more confident about my pending operation The ambience on the ward making it appear more like home/ a hotel rather than a hospital. Everything lives up to the reputation of Cleveland as a world class health provider.
