I couldn't compliment the surgeon, anaesthetist, nurses and assistants more. I was so impressed by my medical care. Thank you to all of them.

I complained about the food so many times. A manager came on two occasions to discuss the problem. He tried very hard to improve matters. Increasing the portion size was not wanted and didnt cover the lack of choice and missing food. For 4 days I ordered scrambled eggs (good) and bacon. No bacon ever came. Every tray was missing plates of food, starters puddings cutlery tea and milk. I had informed your pre booking team of my dietary necessity but had only three main course choices throughout my stay. There were no cakes or biscuits, nothing flagged up on the menu as 'gluten free' Gluten free bread was brought for breakfast which became staler each day and on the 4th day they had cut all the edges off to a small square. A jacket potato arrived alone on a plate without cheese, salad or the butter ordered and to be eaten with a spoon and knife. Roast 'autumn' chicken was char grilled to leather and served with beef gravy. Hard melon improved to fruit platter then rice pudding. I was told the facilities weren't there to provide totally gluten free foods. All I wanted after a serious operation was a simple well cooked meal and a choice, gluten free flagged and a selection served that I could safely eat without having to guess their content. A friend said 'at least you will have good food in such a hospital' to compensate for the pain. Not so.

Miss Murray was exceptional, efficient, reliable, kind and I have every confidence in her. She was generous and informative with her time especially post op.
