The nurses and care workers on the 4th floor were excellent and I felt completely looked after and safe in their care. Nothing was too much for them and they were incredibly keen to help me at all times and to ensure I was pain free and comfortable at all times. I can not praise them enough.

Suggested improvements
In the room where I was to be anaesthetised, I feel that the ambiance needs to be calmer and more serene. I walked with a nurse to this room and was feeling quite calm. However once I was in the room I became quite anxious. Unfortunately it was difficult to insert the cannula which was no ones fault however the whole consent process which was happening at the same time lead to the atmosphere becoming quite noisy. I feel the consent process should occur prior to entering this room to help keep the whole process calm and focused on the anaesthetic process. Fortunately for me the consultant came through to the room and reassured me.

I was previously a patient of Dr David Redfern at another hospital and received top class care from him and therefore requested to be referred to him. I have complete faith in his expertise and care that he extends to his patients.

All of the nurses and care workers who looked after me on the 4th floor: Honey Thomas Emerald Rihanna The charge nurse The physiotherapist The pharmacist There were more but I cannot remember all of their names.
