The doctors, nurses and whole team are very polite and passionate about caring for patients. They clearly understand that we are why they are there.

I had allergy wristband but twice someone tried to put elastoplasts on me without checking. Blood clot stockings were put on without measuring, the tape was on the bed. Had to get them replaced. Sky sports didn't work. The people asking what I wanted for food didn't point me to the menu on the TV so I just ordered the first thing they remembered. Nitpicking though, because they were lovely.

Dr Sam Dawkins is amazing. He put me at ease. The internet is full of studies etc saying how technically difficult the procedure is, but he oozes confidence and competence.

Dr Lui the anesthetist explained everything and asked about my history. Dr Kelly Victor took the time to come and see me before she did her imaging work. All the nurses were great. I had most time with Mira who was fantastic. Perfect manner. Humour. Concern about always making sure I was comfortable. Sorry, I can't remember all the names. Special shout out to the nurse in theatre who put oxygen mask on me and whispered the last words I heard as I dropped off "We'll look after you".
