Share review of Cleveland Clinic London Hospital
The caregivers were exceptional in difficult circumstances, my operation meant I experienced a lot of distress and discomfort in the early days, and as a result I was a difficult patient.
I cannot compliment the nurses and doctors enough for their patience, thoughtfulness and care during the early days of my recovery.
This made me feel cared for and respected when, due to some of the medication I may not have been making a lot of sense.
Mitch Krieger prepared a PowerPoint presentation to explain my surgery. He came to see me once, sometimes twice a day to check on my progress and answer my questions.
He never got phased or frustrated, but continued to be patient, thorough and kind.
He even came in on his days off to ensure continuity of care.
Most importantly, despite the extent of the surgery, he delivered exactly what he said he would.
There were a number of nurses/care givers I would like to mention, I don’t have their full names but based on the dates I stayed you should be able to work them out: Mish (Michelle) - whose kindness and empathy made me feel less panicked and more relaxed. Sherene - who took control and made me understand kindly but firmly what I needed to know when I was most distressed especially in the early most painful days.
Trina, Gemma, Corrie, Harriet, Lisia, Giselle, Marielle, Gianna and all of the male nurses who went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable - I am sure I have missed some but the staff were amazing.
Lastly can I mention Nebiat Tombs, one of the staff who managed the daily menus/food,- she went above and beyond to ensure I received food I could eat. She even called in on her day off to make sure the morning staff got my breakfast right.
