On the whole my stay at the Cleveland Clinic was exemplary. The only weak point, I would suggest, is in communications between the night and day teams. My departure from the hospital was delayed because the night team - who had attended when my surgeon confirmed I could leave - had not properly explained this to the day team who all looked utterly confused when I was ready to go.
The surgeon, Mr Christian Ulbricht, who went above and beyond his remit to check that I was recovering well and understood how my procedure had gone.
