Food service was shambolic at times: Items often missing, 1 hour delay for breakfast, tiny jars used (impossible to open, especially after surgery!) Sometimes food was excellent. Shortage of staff in food services was blamed - so why are you trying to compete with high end bistros? You are a hospital! Please focus on getting basics of hospital food right, for patients!! Cut the irrelevant ‘nice to haves’ during a staffing crisis - every other restaurent is doing that, and you are providing food in a hospital, which is pretty important!

Suggested improvements
Cut half the menu - and train all staff to be able to deliver good quality, limited range of food, to patient, as needed. Even when you have staff shortages or any other disruption. I had surgery, I just wanted some good, basic food - no need for avocado toast. Happy to get that by myself, when I am fit enough to go home! Excessive menu which was delivered only haphazardly, made me feel like your priorities were wrong.
