I was extremely impressed with every aspect. Especially when I had to be re-admitted, on a Sunday afternoon, in severe pain. I only had to make one phonecall to the nurses’ station and they organised everything, even though it was a Sunday. I sailed through reception (who were expecting me) as soon as I got there, the pain relief was on hand and I could’ve wept with relief!

Angela, Mernalin and Katie on the 5th floor were exceptional. I called Angela (from Cleveland, Ohio) my angel. I can’t tell you how marvellous they were. Nothing was too much trouble, they were incredibly competent and knowledgeable. They made such a difference to my stay. I was less keen on one agency nurse, she may have been called Yvonne, who chewed gum all the time and didn’t seem so sympathetic when I was in pain. But apart from that the care was outstanding. Almost unbelievably effficient and high-quality. I felt extremely lucky to be in such a hospital.
