Although the Dr and nurse did not come at the same time together the Dr did see me and talk to me about the process on a few occasions and the nurses all were very clear and informative about my care as an inpatient and after care. Both Dr and nurses were super and made a very scary situation very comfortable and reassuring.

Suggested improvements
The only thing that could have been communicated better was the time of my surgery prior to my arrival as I needed to arrive at 7am and was asked to fast from both food and drink, however upon arriving my op was not scheduled initially until 2:40pm. Baring in mind the surgery would be up to 2 hours and then potential another hour in recovery which is a long time to go without food or drink, however the team were able to move my surgery to a few hours earlier which I was super grateful for!

He’s just great and warm! He also listens and doesn’t allow his excellence to get to his head which made me feel like I’m being treated by a human being which means a lot.

Just their overall ability to understand that I really just needed to rest and listened and adjusted the care to allow me to get a good nights sleep which was very considerate. Also just genuinely being empathetic and didn’t rush me through the whole experience which allowed me to trust and understand that I was in safe hands. The nurses that looked after me were top tier and I couldn’t stop saying thank you enough! Even to the staff that bought me food they probably thought I was super weird but I wanted them to know I valued everything they were doing at such a vulnerable time.
