Everyone from the Consultant, his secretary and all the CCL staff were fantastic. I felt I was listened to and my issues taken into account when preparing for my day case procedure. Comparing your services to the those offered by the NHS is on a par with comparing apples and bananas, however, having been an NHS patient getting nowhere for many years, I felt a weight had been lifted when my Consultant referred me for care at CCL that took place within weeks. Yes, as a self-paying patient it was very expensive and I've had to save a long time to be in a position to choose private healthcare but I do hope I will get the treatment/answers I need without any more delays.

Suggested improvements
As a self-paying patient, when I was initially advised of the procedure I required, I was unaware what the procedure was, and being concerned about the cost, I called CCL directly. I was put through to a female who didn't have a clue what my procedure was and told me so! She then asked colleagues around her who also didn't know but they guessed my interventional radiology imaging would probably cost similar to other imaging such as MRI or CT so would be approximately £825. Unfortunately, this was way off the mark and when I received my Detailed Information, it was in fact £6,050! Even when the Appointments Team telephoned me to arrange an admission date, they still didn't have a cost for the procedure. Eventually, the Consultant's secretary chased this up and obtained the relevant package cost.

Feeling you are listened to and cared for is probably what I've been looking for and CCL gave me that. Thank you to all of your staff for making a difficult experience so much easier.
