8th December 2022

I received the best level of care and attention from the medical team.

Suggested improvements
I received a very good level of care from the medical team from the 5th floor. Apart from an occasion (I think it was on my third day of my stay) when a care assistant was called in to temporarily cover for short staff. I think she wasn't trained to deal with patients that had surgical procedures like mine. She got confused, panicked and didn't know what to do when my blood pressure dropped, vomited and was about to collapse. She started to remove my dressing gown without knowing that a blood drainage bag was attached to the gown and she accidentally pulled the gown with a blood bag clipped on to it. As a result, the stitches were opened and bleed. She run out to ask for help from the nurses and I was left uncovered, vomited, and was almost black out the bathroom. It was not her fault, she did her best to help me but may be she was not aware of my health conditions at the time.

I have a total confidence and trust with my consultance

All doctors and nurses on 5th Floor were exceptionally good.
