Share review of Cleveland Clinic London Hospital
The staff were all lovely. The building was spotlessly clean. The food was lovely - Mum really enjoyed it - but she felt constantly under pressure to pick her food 3 meals in advance - it was a bit much. No sooner had she eaten one meal, she was being asked to choose the next 2 meals ahead and what time she wanted them.
I would also add that the food was constantly late. Sometimes this didn't matter so much, but other times it was really frustrating eg when Mum was desperate to sleep etc.
Administration was confused at times at the outset, eg when arranging the payment etc - little things like account numbers I was asked to quote, I hadn't been provided with. At check in with my mum (the patient) I was asked about the cost of the treatment and to confirm I had paid. This was embarrassing and not something I wanted my Mum to witness. I had not been warned that I would have to produce evidence of payment at the check in. I luckily had taken banking screenshots, but I'd have been stuck if I hadn't done that. It was a little thing which didn't need to have happened.
We knew Mr Luchesse from St Thomas' Hospital. When Mum's operation was cancelled repeatedly with the NHS, I traced where Mr Luchesse worked privately in order to get the operation done with him as Mum had confidence in him.
The nursing staff were all absolutely lovely. As were the healthcare assistants. This made the world of difference to Mum and us.
