I thought the care was exceptional . I had every confidence in my Consultant Mr N Mushtaq. He provided me with all the information I needed to decide this was the appropriate time for surgery and listened carefully to tailor the surgery to what we both felt I needed . He showed a compassion that made me confident he would do the best he could whatever he found and that he takes a pride on what he dies . This is important las a patient when you feel anxious about an elective procedure .
The anaesthetist inspired confidence and provided a good post op analgesic block , which I was pre warned about so not alarmed .
The whole of the nursing team were caring compassionate , prompt to respond (with an attitude that nothing was too much trouble) and everything was done with a smile .
The physiotherapist and Sean the CNS provided great encouragement .
In my opinion the whole team is a team to be proud of.
The environment is calm, and extremely clean . Apart from the ability to part close my blinds I have no other suggestions on how it could have been improved . The food was very good with a good choice .
This whole approach makes surgery and the recovery much less daunting . Thank you !
The whole team were amazing but the confidence I felt in my surgeon and the way he helped me with the decision making about the procedure pre-operatively was the reassurance I needed when I had any doubts in the few days running up to the surgery . His relaxed but very unhurried and compassionate professional approach was extremely reassuring .
