Overall care was very good and theatre staff excellent, but aftercare when back in my room slightly perfunctory.

Suggested improvements
After the procedure and once back in my room, I was offered a cup of tea which didn’t come until I asked for it again about half an hour later. I had also requested a light snack, which also didn’t turn up, so after an hour of waiting I had to ask for it again! I hadn’t eaten at all that day, and nurses were good at checking my low bp, but in the end it was me who suggested that in fact some food might help and was it ever going to come?! I did feel rather overlooked and abandoned at that point.



Mr Tyrell and his theatre team were excellent.
