Nurses on the cardiac ward are fantastic.
All questions answered in a professional manner.
All care was very good from the nursing staff and the 'back up' team of all the other professional staff.
Good: sympathetic and skilled staff. Excellent bedside manner! Gave me confidence to do my first self-injection. The nursing care is excellent. Staff are considerate of needs.
Improvements.
1)Hard to wait until 8:45 am for a cup of tea esp if waking around 6:30 am. Even harder to wait until 9:00 for breakfast, and on one day until 1:45 for lunch. I expect shortage of staff may be the reason.
2)hard to wait until 10:15 am for tablets, esp when some are anti- sickness.
3) My side room was totally prepared. A curtain never appeared, thorough there is a rail and the toilet was her sporless when I went to use it the first time. I overheard a conversation that led me to drink I might have.
Holding bars in showers would be helpful and always a chair to sit on after shower.
All the staff were very considerate and where needed explained my treatment and answered all of my questions. I cannot speak to nearly of every one I came in contact with.
I feel there is very little room for improvement.
All staff very helpful and careing and I was always kept informed on what was happening. The food was also very good.
You could improve the discharge as it takes too long and lots of hanging around. I was told at 1 pm.
Everyone is very caring, proffessional and patient. I don't believe any of the staff could have done anymore.
Thank you.
I spent a long time sat in a room 12:30 -6:30 before being allocated a bed. I didn't feel well and wasn't comfortable but I did understand that the bed was not available. The staff are very good.
