service was professional and prompt, sympathetic, efficient. Staff prepared to listen. Facilities good; particularly a friendly and spacious environment on the ward. Arrangement of side wards very effective. Peaceful at night.
But needs a better shower facility.
Seen on time
Explanation given as procedure progressed
I was so impressed with how efficient the service was run and how supportive and helpful all the staff were. They made a difficult time much easier to handle.
The care I received was first class the staff were very friendly and courteous can't see how I could have received any better so apart from the usual hassle of finding a parking spot for the car I don't see any room for improvement
The care given by all staff was excellent. The toilet however needed a clean in the toilet and the surrounding floor!
Once in the system, with an appointment, it all worked extremely well and an unpleasant procedure was made so much more bearable by the human face displayed by all staff on the ward.
All of the staff were wonderful and helpful. I had a great labour and would definitely return.
As above what more can you ask for ...
Having arrival at the general as an emergency patient, as a result of a slip at work. I was filled with trepidation at the thought of staying in hospital and the level of service I would received. But I have to honestly said I have been overwhelmed with the care, professionalism and high standard that I have found. Every member of staff I encounted, acted in a caring, empathetic way, towards me. When I arrived, I was a little stunned to hear the news that I'd sustained a fracture to my femur, and I remember the ladies who brought me up to the Dixton Ward, (one lady in particular, didn't get her name), sat with me, held my hand and comforted me, while I was in a state of shock and worry. I found all the scrub nurses and theatre team 100% reassuring and empathetic. I would have to say that every member of staff that I also encounted on the Dixon Ward, (Room 14) were helpful, cheerful, efficient, professional and kind.
I would like to give a big shout out to all the staff, (I can't remember all of your names, however), special mentions go to, Mr Gosh, my registrar Jim (something), Dudge, Grace, Victoria, Charlotte (think she's the lovely blonde nurse who looked after me on thurs and Friday), Amy, (long black hair), Amy (highlighted blonde ponytail), Edil, Rahim, polish nurse (sorry not being rude, just couldn't remember your name), Eva and male domestic, the physio team, and all the Saturday staff that I encountered today. Please accept my sincere apologies if I've forgotten everyone.
I found the standard of care and cleanliness to be of a high level.
I have a friend who is currently at The Nuffield, and I believe the service and level of care that I have received would certainly rival there's.
May one of my biggest wishes be that the theatre team, ward and associated staff be recognised/highlighted for there tremendously good work and be thought of as a place of excellence.
I could have been marginally better if printed instructions of the recommended exercises were provided on the initial consultation.
