What impressed me most about the ward was the tremendous sense of teamwork going on and this extended right from the consultants with their F1s and F2s to those responsible for cleaning the ward who clearly took their role every bit as seriously. The care was compassionate and very efficient with suitable humour. A feeling of energy, enthusiasm and commitment pervaded. The layout of the ward, whereby all of the bays have a clear sightline to the nurses' station, was re-assuring and it meant that nobody who needed assistance was left waiting. Being in hospital can be quite frightening and lonely but being on this ward mitigated against that - I always felt safe and well looked after.
