Staff are patient - centred. Most staff work unbelievably hard, try to pre empt problems and go the extra mile. There is a good team ethos. My consultant, Dr Shields is an absolute star, as is Sylvia on likey brook I noticed that. some patients are unaware of all the controls (radio/lights) on their buzzer! Not all staff can make a 'good cup of tea' though this was really noticeable only once. I think the catering assistant was new and from Eastern Europe, so probably has a different expectation of. The wards can get really, really hot, making sleeping uncomfortable. Lower heat and another blanket would be far preferable for most of us.
