I feel I must post this review because I have been so impressed with Chase Farm's endoscopy unit, which I attended this morning. The entire time from referral to procedure took only 2.5 weeks. The specialist nurse who rang me initially to take notes was friendly, efficient and unhurried and I have been kept well informed via phone calls and letters without having to chase up anything. The unit itself is modern, clean and very well equipped. The staff on reception, the nurses and the consultant were all similarly friendly, efficient and helpful and the procedure was carried out smoothly and painlessly. Honestly, this was the NHS at its finest, very impressive! Many thanks to everyone involved.

I believe some doctors lack knowledge and skills, so they pass patients to the GP and say everything normal so the problem gets worse.this is my experience of seeing the doctor in chars farm hospital after few appointments my problem getting much worse and effects my daily work and my job , They didn’t find the cause of the illness and referred me to GP and saying everything is normal. My suggestion is that doctors should be asked to listen carefully to all the patient’s details and record everything, even if they cannot identify the illness. This may help in finding the cause of the disease. They should also send all the information they hear from the patient to the GP, rather than incomplete or partial details that they have recorded Just to show that they have seen the patient.

We met Anna Madar during an emergency scan at 29 weeks, after receiving some concerning news at our consultant appointment. As you can imagine, we were incredibly distressed and anxious leading up to our appointment. However, Anna instantly made us feel at ease. She was thorough, welcomed all questions and had a friendly yet professional approach which calmed our nerves and allowed us to feel at ease from the start of our appointment. It’s quite common to feel like another number during NHS scans. The sonographers’ approach can sometimes feel impersonal and clinical, and although that is understandable given the nature of the job, the seriousness can feel intimidating for patients. Anna did not make us feel this way. She made a very daunting moment so much more bearable and if I could choose to have all scans with her I most certainly would!

Great service. I called 111 at 8:45pm on a Saturday night. I got an appointment for my 7 years old son at 9:45pm at Chase Farm Hospital. The doctor’s appointment was on time. The doctor and receptionist gave a great service. I drove 10 mins to the pharmacy for the medicine. Because of experiences like today’s I understand why we pay so much taxes. Amazing service!

On September 19, 2024, at 9:30 PM, I arrived at [Hospital Name] with my mother after calling 111. The main reason for our visit was that my 59-year-old mother had been experiencing amnesia for several days and severe headaches. We were received kindly by a nurse or doctor (I am unsure of her exact role), who examined my mother and assured me that there was nothing serious to worry about. She stated that my mother only had a urinary tract infection, which was supposedly causing the amnesia. I repeatedly asked whether a CT scan could be performed, as I was very concerned about my mother’s symptoms. However, I was told that although she could refer us to North Middlesex University Hospital, there was no need for a CT scan since the urinary infection was the clear cause of her condition. We left the hospital with a prescription for antibiotics, believing that my mother was fine and that the infection was the only issue. On September 24, 2024, as my mother’s condition worsened—she was forgetting everything she did or said—I made the difficult decision to take her back to our home country for further medical care. That same day, following a CT scan, I received the devastating news: my mother has stage 4 lung cancer with brain metastases. I am sharing this painful experience not to blame, but as a wake-up call—people’s lives are at stake. I almost lost my mother because her symptoms were dismissed. Now, she no longer has a chance at survival. But other lives can still be saved—no one should have to leave their own country just to receive proper care. I urge you to take patient concerns seriously and ensure that thorough evaluations are conducted when symptoms indicate something more severe.

Enfield Psychological Therapy Service (formally known as ETS) The Chase Building Chase Farm Hospital. I was with this service for a long time for my mental health. The support, care and advice I received was second to none. The personality disorder team provide a service I have not previously experienced and I doubt I will again, having moved from the area. There are 2 people in that team I owe my life to, one person in particular is an absolute asset and I really hope their efforts do not go unnoticed. It’s very easy to complain but I believe it is equally important to make it known when a service is outstanding and this one truly is. I will be eternally grateful for the kindness, compassion and professionalism shown to me by my care coordinator from the team at The Chase Building. You do an amazing job and I will be forever in your debt. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish services like this one were available all over. Please do not take the service for granted.
