The overall care was very good with pleasant and helpful nursing staff. Recovery ward was excellent and staff came immediately if you buzzed. Some of the nurses were particularly lovely and smiled and reassured you and were gentle. This meant a lot - when you are feeling v ill and in pain. I think some nurses forget how awful you can feel after an operation. Before i left unit 3 one of them was chatting pleasantly to me and mentioned about my behavior in the immediate recovery room. I'd been calling out out for straw and she had thought I was rude because I didn't say 'please'. I remember the incident and I felt off my head with the anesthetic, completely disoriented and nothing. Someone put water on my table - but my arms were unable to move and I couldn't reach ordinarily.
