Staff were amazing and paramount to my expedient recovery. Nothing was too much of a problem and I felt as I had personal care tailored to me and to enable me to feel safe In an unfamiliar and stressful environment and time in my life. They treated me respectfully and were all very approachable if I needed anything explaining or doing for me. They have spoken to me about plans for the future and what I would like to do and a plan for when I am discharged which I found helpful. There were activities to do every day to pass the time and keep my mind active while in my recovery period. The food was good and it was definitely helpful for my recovery to have daily regimented meals and a consistent routine. I would like to also just reiterate how well the staff deal with people who may be having a “episode” or just a bad time in general, it is very nice to see that the staff understand that you are not well and still treat you as a human being even though the words and behaviour coming from the patients may not be the nicest thing to experience, especially in your workplace. All in all I am very thankful for everyone at Sherbourne and the time they have put in to aid my recovery. Without them, I’m certain I wouldn’t have recovered as quickly. You have a great team here and I’m very grateful for that, and so are my family. Thanks everyone.

Suggested improvements
The only thing I found slightly annoying was having the light shined through the door for observation by the night staff whilst trying to sleep, but also understand it was necessary. Perhaps letting us open and close the blinds In the room could be a thing that would be allowed in future
