I was quite disappointed with the nurse I was treated by at Blackburn Brook yesterday. She came across quite rude - especially after weighing me. Once we sat down after she weighed me, she looked at me and said "you've put some weight on" (now I always look at the scale when I get weighed before my injection and I am always inbetween 65kg -70kg, usually around the 67kg mark). She then went on to say "does your skirt not feel tight?". I said no it doesn't and, in my opinion, she looked at me as though to say "well it should". She then told me it's okay though because my BMI is still healthy - if this is the case, then what's the need to make them comments? I thought this was very rude and very unprofessional, especially as a nurse who is giving someone contraception. Girls usually have some underlying body image issues and these comments could seriously upset someone, which a nurse should know!! Hopefully I don't get this nurse again.
