It had to do with my care and stay in hospital.
I feel really good and safe during my therapy
I enjoyed learning about psychology. I am doing the same work. I know it off by heart now. I enjoyed the drug awareness course and the understanding mental health course, and the life minus violence course. My 1:1 sessions were good. I also liked ready for change, I learned a lot about my goals and I achieved most of them. I am still working on my goal of discharge and getting off my section 37. I like reverse psychology, I knew this before hospital. Psychology has helped me learn a lot of techniques (e.g. mindfulness, reverse psychology, insight into my offence and coping skills, especially in parties and if someone offers substances). I know how to say no because I am older now and I have said no a lot of times and no one can physically do anything to me and I wont get pressured to take anything.
I have had a good chance to gain insight into my mental illness and I have made progress over the years. I think the groups were well delivered and the facilitators were well informed. I enjoyed individual sessions, as I don't often get the opportunity to speak to someone about my illness. I feel like I did all the psychology I needed to. It was nice to finish with a relapse prevention plan.
I have enjoyed learning new things about my mental illness. I prefer group psychology sessions, as I get to hear other people's stories.
It has been good to get treatment for my mental illness. It has helped me to prepare for the outside community and prepare me for the future. I particularly enjoyed substance misuse because there was biscuits and tea. What I have learnt so far has helped me to find some inner peace. I also enjoy LMV, although it is hard to talk about my offence.
