Reactive behaviour management techniques
Lack of appropriate training, induction, supervision and oversight of agency staff
A lack of core values relating to promoting a safeguarding culture which should seek to be pro-active in the prevention of harm and providing kindness, dignity and respect to patients and their relatives
Patients with mental illness currently have no choice of hospital. This is discriminatory and needs to be addressed within NHS Trusts so that people with mental illness have the same choices as those with physical illness.
