Occupational therapy is good just more consistency could be improved.
Helpful staff.
My advocate he goes out when I need him urgently hasn't got time for me doesn't keep to appointments.
We all agree that "fish" are therapeutic and calming. Water is calming and watching the fish is good for the calmness of mind.
Please can we have a large tank of fish tropical preferably. Animals are therapeutic generally. Fish can be watched for long periods of time.
The ward is quite boring at times.
This could relieve the boredom.
Thank you.
The staff support on bay ward extremely beneficial and has really helped me start to recovery properly. The support has always been consistent, and I would like to especially thank my key-worker Charity and others including Millie, Loveness, Rachael and Susie. They each individually took their time to support throughout my struggles and were always respectful towards me! I would personally improve the structure at meal time as for someone who struggles with their eating it would be very beneficial to have extra support during and after meal times.
Nearly all the care staff have been extremely helpful, and kind. They usually do their best to accommodate the needs of individuals. I feel that the staff care about giving patients choice even if it's not always possible with time and routine constraints. My requests have nearly always been met.
I think the 'communal area' should be more of a focus for patients and more cosy. At the moment it is cold and draughty and a 'cut through' for smoking into garden. Breakfast arrangements are much improved and also laundry arrangements and bedtime arrangements (light etc).
Jubida especially is always bubbly and cheerful and brightens up our day. She goes out her way to help. She is friendly, organised, efficient and I always enjoy it when she is on shift with us.
Treated with dignity and compassion.
The staff here are brilliant
Well-cared for in terms of physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs - could do with access to internet easily as have felt lost without it in terms of sorting out.
Accommodation - this has been the most anxiety inducing.
