Everyone was extremely helpful and professional and looked after us brilliantly.

I think everything about the care on the surgery day was great. The location, staff and surgery were all faultless. They also supported me well when I had problems after the surgery. I had a problem with the Codeine pain killers after the surgery that caused me to get very constipated even though I was taking the prescribed laxatives. I came back to the hospital and got prescribed more laxatives and I took these as well to no avail. Fortunately my operation pain had reduced by then and I stopped taking the Codeine which resolved the problem after a few days. I guess that I have a worse reaction to Codeine than most and I I'll minimise my use of it if I have an operation again. Maybe you could warn people about this in future or maybe I'm just a rare case. Thank you all for the treatment - I'm very happy with the care provided.

I was very impressed by the care and expertise of all the staff I had contact with at the Belford. The day case unit was well organised and the staff, although fully occupied, made it seem like nothing was too much trouble in looking after me. They introduced themselves and their names were written on the noticeboard in my room. The very welcome tea and toast they brought me was hot and freshly made. But more importantly they cared for me with respect and good humour and gave me very useful advice for my recovery. I cannot fault the care they provided and am glad to have this opportunity to record how impressed and grateful I am.

All the staff at the Belford were excellent and couldnt have treated me any better or made me feel more comfortable! I was anxious about getting surgery but they all made me feel at ease and kept me informed every step of the way! Thank you very much for all your kindness
