Recently admitted for 1 week and could not believe how dirty wet rooms/toilet area was.
Shower chairs were rusty and mould grew on walls and where handrails were fitted also the floor drain was black with mould.
I requested detergent wipes to be left in toilet to enable me to clean sink, toilet seat etc before use.
Domestic staff were in and out, hardly cleaned anywhere except for a quick mop of floors.
Medical staff washed hands and used anti bacterial gel routinely.
I just could not believe how little care was given to hygiene especially as most patients immunity has been compromised by cancer treatments.
