The trainee male receptionist with glasses, did not make initial eye contact and just said "surname?" rather than a welcoming greeting, smile, eye contact and polite. "can you tell me your surname?" I am assuming it was a confidence issue rather than rudeness but needs improvement if a customer facing role dealing with public.
