My 89 yr old mum received Palliative Care in Station 16 Ayr Hospital. She had advanced Dementia and Sepsis. She could not have been better looked after or had a better team. They constantly looked after her needs. She was always comfortable and never in pain. Each and everyone of them professional and respectful. Their compassion and consideration was first class. To mum and to us as a family. We do not live locally and they gave us a room with comfortable couches and an en suite shower room / toilet. Although I don't think mum had much awareness she had her own bright room with a nice view.We will never forget any of the staff and will always be grateful to them. We knew mum was dying and they were such a comfort to us. I wish them all well. Mattie Boland my mum died on 13th May 2016. She was a wonderful mum and I miss her very much. The staff all approached me with hugs and condolences. God Bless them all. With much gratitude and warmest wishes Anne Marti, half an orphan. xxx.
