The reception team were friendly and welcoming. We had to wait a while but there was information available about the waiting times. Hayley, the paramedic listened very carefully to my 87-year-old mother and asked specific and clear questions. The radiographers were excellent as they had to improvise to my mother’s leg due to the complexity created by her previous surgeries and injuries. Once the break was diagnosed Hayley spoke to the trauma doctor on call at the JR and my mother was quickly passed on to the JR. overall, we had an excellent experience. As my mother’s chaperone, I was also treated with respect and involved in the decision-making. We appreciated everybody’s attitude and professionalism when dealing with my mother

Suggested improvements
Inevitably wait times are difficult to manage. As my mother is already an older person with limited mobility confined to wheelchair, it would’ve been helpful for her to have been seen a little quicker. There were no spaces for a wheelchair and I had to move some chairs in the waiting room to accommodate her. Perhaps a little more consideration for disabled people would be helpful
