The doctors at the surgery are great but trying to get the receptionists to answer a phone in under 6-8 minutes is an absolute miracle. I have been sat in the waiting room very often and heard the phones ringing on and on and on and nobody answering. I think the waiting time for answering the phones is unacceptable. If I were ringing in any sort of emergency case, unfortunately my first point would not be the surgery

Response from Wawn Street Surgery

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Please be assured that the Reception Services Team are answering the telephones, and in light of patient comments on this website and the NHS Choices website, the practice subsequently undertook an audit of the telephone system. We have displayed this audit information on one of the noticeboards in reception, and have created a leaflet for patients on alternative methods of accessing the practice. The leaflet is available from reception. This information is also on our practice website. We would like to reassure you that we are committed to high quality patient care and that we are doing everything within our power to address waiting times for our patients. We continue to welcome all feedback so please don’t hesitate to contact the surgery with comments, compliments or suggestions. If you would like to support the surgery in its determination to improve services for patients please consider joining the Patient Participation Group.
