I'm finding dealing with the surgery extremely stressful. More than half the time promised phone calls are not made, leaving me to chase for information or prescriptions. Currently I'm again trying to call to ask whether mt prescription has been sent as promised, which is no critical as I will run out tonight. But the phones are still on the out of hours message 45 minutes after the surgery is supposed to open!

I find it very difficult to get an appointment, especially during term time. The drop in system is helpful if you live on campus, but unless you can get there practically as soon as the health centre opens you will be waiting a long time to see anyone. I think that because they have so many patients the health centre is under a great strain. When the nurse gave me a card to give to the receptionist relaying a message to book an appointment so I can see a doctor this week and then I am told there's no appointments until the following Thursday it does disappoint me a lot. Will probably be registering elsewhere soon.

I really value the drop in triage system. When you are ill, you want help quickly. You don't want to wait until you are either dead or well again.

I've always felt listened to by nurses and GP, and able to discuss any health issues with them

I booked an implant removal over the phone with reception and was not told I was supposed to abstain from unprotected sex for a few days beforehand. When I turned up for my appointment, three weeks later in the middle of exams, the nurse said that due to the (very small) risk of pregnancy, she would be unable to remove it that day. If the receptionist had told me I would need to abstain, I wouldn't have wasted an appointment slot. The next appointment I could get was 4 weeks after I initially called to book.
