Torrington Park Group Practice

It's obvious the practice is overworked and is stretched to breaking point. It is incredibly stressful waiting on the phone for between 30 minutes and an hour ...yes an hour, particularly if you are unwell.
If you do get through you always speak to a different Doctor and if it's an ongoing condition you have to explain and answer questions, because the Doctor doesn't know you and maybe doesn't read the notes properly. I realise it must be incredibly difficult for the Doctor too. Unable to build a relationship with a stranger, really acting in my opinion, like a highly qualified, overpaid call centre operator. It's no wonder Partners leave at 60. It must be so demotivating. And they are so busy as a practice, dealing with matters of life and death, they are ignoring the correct protocols in dealing with non life threatening conditions. I know, because I have researched my particular condition and I feel I'm out on my own. That's OK, I'm intelligent and responsible. What about those who aren 't?
I have been really disappointed I have been unable to build a continuos relationship with a Doctor and I am sure that on the other side, the doctors are frustrated they don't have time to get to know their patients,
I am totally and utterly disappointed with this practice and the so called econsult service. I tried making an appointment to see a GP and after having waited for 40 minutes on the phone was told that they couldnt make appointments and I had to ring back at 8.30am the next morning!! I then decided to contact econsult.... filled out the long form and answered many questions and gave as much detail as possible. I get a call this morning from one of the doctors, asking what was the problem!!!! Do the doctors actually read the forms that are sent on the econsult? I had to go through it all again, so what is the point of filling out the forms? I still couldnt get an appointment and was told to come into the surgery to pick up some forms to book a blood test!! Why cant I get an appointment with a GP to actually look at the problem rather than being told to go for a blood test without anyone actually looking and checking my problem?
Repeat prescriptions via email internet a complete farce, with no repeat prescription being carried out on three recent occasions. This then involves phoning, waiting generally for over 20 minutes to get a response, then having to relate all details to get a repeat prescription raised.
I am always amazed by how helpful, friendly and professional everyone is. Thank you for being an exceptional Gp
E-consult and Torringtonpark GP receptionists playing games wasting my time when I been trying to get an appointment since friday! Waited 10th may the whole day for the doctor to tell me to book an appointment on the 11th may. Which I did and when I did they said to call 4 to 5 days later. How does it make sense to call in 4 to 5 days later with the chance of them saying the exact same thing they told me today. This service is absolutely terrible and really believe they need to better their service as soon as possible because this econsult service doesn't seem at all professional
