Typically, there is a delay of 4 weeks to wait to see the doctor. As a result, one either goes directly to the hospital A&E or to the chemist, effectively rendering the service from the GP as unobtainable.

The problem is political. The inability/unwillingness of the government and the BMA to resolve the Funding Formula has resulted in doctors unemployed while patients have insufficient doctors available at the surgery to provide an adequate service. It's been a scandal.

Able to book GP.appointments on line, never any available

Appointments non urgent and routine so no issues.

All good for what I needed.
