My appointment with Dr Wallaston went well as always. To me she is a lifesaver. The only bad part was 35 minute wait to see her. I find it extremely difficult to get appointments when you need them, usually offered one for a couple of weeks time, after being on hold for up to half an hour to get through in the first place. This last appointment was requested by Dr Wallaston herself so it was very quick. I know it’s the same everywhere but nonetheless still very frustrating.
Very friendly, smiley and great medical advice.
Sometimes there is a long wait in the call queue, it has been fifty minutes to be answered.
I have always had a really good experience at the Glebe
Getting an appointment can be challenging. Often you are in a queue and this can be very time consuming especially if you are number 25.
Making a face to face appointment with a doctor can be extremely difficult. Video/ FaceTime appointments are really not helpful in many cases. Patients seek the reassurance that comes from a face to face appointment. A GP can gauge so much more when meeting a patient face to face for example their posture, their appearance, their skin colour, their attitude , their breathing, their cleanliness etc. The list is endless. I do not believe a GP can make a make a complete and comprehensive assessment of a patient via a video call. We all understand the reason for this being introduced during Covid but that time has now passed and I like many others feel face to face appointments should be the norm again.
