Attended The Glebe Surgery for annual flu vaccination. Online booking system was easy to follow. Upon arrival, was directed to the main entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Because of the pre-appointment system only had to wait a short time. Very happy with the service.

Suggested improvements
Questions 1, 3 & 4 above don’t apply in this instance. Need to have a “N/A” option. Because the system won’t allow me to submit my response without completing these questions, I have selected the most appropriate star rating for my visit.

Efficient, kind cheerful helpful, I have a problem just standing and the nurses found me a chair whilst queuing (not for long)

Suggested improvements
I was asked to contact the surgery as they wished to move ny appointment. It would have been much more efficient if they had told me the new time and only asked me to contact if this was not convenient. The call took 45 minutes to get through for a 90 second conversation.

I was invited to have my flu jab on Saturday, everything was carried out efficiently. Everyone was friendly and knew their role.

When ringing you get through and you always seem to be high in the number queue. I try to leave it till late to ring. Then after waiting for ever you get to number one and wait a long time then get cut off !!!

Suggested improvements
Either more receptionists to answer phone or more phones that the back office could answer. That’s the only thing I can think of. The phone answering cat me given to doctors or nurses because they have so much to do already.

Thank you for your feedback, and I am sorry that you have experienced these problems. We are aware that there are currently long waits to get through to us on the phone, and that patients are being cut off. It is a long-standing issue that we have tried to resolve with our current phone company but they have been unable to locate the problem. We will be moving to a new phone system by the end of the year that should give all our patients a better experience.
