I very recently had an appointment for a blood test. I have a irritable rash and soreness which is spreading. I firstly had a telephone appointment with a doctor who doesn't speak English that I could understand!! He told me that I have 'shingles and prescribed drugs to deal with 'shingles'. After 10 days no improvement. Actually my 'shingles' has got worse! As I had blood test appointment, I thought that I could also have my 'rash' looked at. So, I called the doctors and they said they can have my rash looked at by the nurse dealing with my 'shingles'. Only to be told that she was only able to deal with bloods. So I went to reception who informed me that the specialist nurse for rashes etc. is on holiday! No replacement! Disgusting. But I did manage to get a doctors appointment for the 13th September (2024).Not even nearly acceptable. I had to send more photos of my condition, to be informed that I DO NOT have shingles and need a face to face appointment,on the 13th September, yes the 13th September, well over a month of my condition started! I have had this condition for almost a month now. An appointment for over a month after my condition started is not acceptable. I am not happy with my lack of treatment. I will never accept a telephone appointment again. It doesn't work. Even more so, when the person who I spoke to could not speak English enough to be understood.

It was difficult to get an appointment but once in the system absolutely fantastic service. Caring and professional. Warned about the side effects and involved in decisions made I would like to compliment the young man on reception although I didn’t need his services, I was listening the way he spoke to the patients. He was brilliant, polite, caring, listened to the patients and effective. Well done

This was a follow up appointment which my doctor had booked in during my last appointment. I felt respected, seen and understood. I was also seen very quickly.

Initial appointments can be difficult to schedule in.
