Excellent experience. My 2 year old was very worried about her flu vaccine, but she was made to feel completely at ease, the nurse explained everything to her in a way that she understood. It was quick and smooth from start to finish. Thank you.

I understand that the doctor was 30 mins late, which doesn’t bother me as someone else has probably needed that time for a good reason, for which she apologised but my appointment felt rushed and cursory. I currently present with a speech impediment after a recent suspected TIA and had my wife with me to speak on my behalf but neither of us left feeling we had been listened to. The doctor spoke very loudly at me as if I was either deaf or simple. Her manner was brusque. Some of her questions were unclear and she seemed impatient for the answers. I brought paperwork from my Neurologist, including his direct contact info, which she ignored and when I asked her for a referral, which was the main reason for the consult she conceded but I was left in doubt it will be with the relevant consultant. She carried out the regular motor function tests, but such a cursory manner it would be impossible to make any conclusion. Not the level of care and professionalism I have previously experienced with this surgery who are normally amazing.

A more personal approach with the patient feeling they had been listened to better was needed. I understand how busy they are and each doctor needs to ensure they don’t get delayed unduly by the patient rambling on unnecessarily I found the whole experience unsatisfactory. I have lived with my condition for over 30 years and am reasonably robust, only asking for assistance occasionally. Anyone presenting as I sometimes do who was less confident could have been very unsettled by such a consultation or a serious problem overlooked.
